Centre Staff

One of the EPSRC Centre's greatest strengths is its multidisciplinary and highly skilled staff who work together in flexible projects teams, also incorporating selected PhD students, to deliver cutting edge research.

Flavio was awarded his Masters degree in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Science Engineering at the New University of Lisbon in 2013, where his thesis was focused on evaluating the performance of industrial agents against traditionally used programmable logic controllers on a modular assembly environment network.

Following this, he worked in industry for five years; Flavio joined Everis Portugal SA in 2014 as a Java Developer and was promoted to the role of Lead Developer/Team Leader in 2017.

He joined the Intelligent Automation Centre as a PhD student in January 2019 and his research interests lie in cyber-physical systems, Industry 4.0 and multi-agent control systems.
