Situated close to Milton Keynes and Bedford, the Cranfield campus is situated in Wharley End, very close to Cranfield village, and is about 10 minutes from the M1 motorway. There is rail and road access to most major airports as well as coach and train stations. Cranfield campus also has its own airport for private executive business travel.

Car Parking

Vehicle Permits are required for all vehicles parking on the Cranfield campus. Visitor Vehicle Permits can either be issued to visitors prior to their arrival or created on the day. More information on visitor permits is available here.

Travelling By Car

From London and the South
Take the M1 north to junction 13. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit signposted A507 in the direction of Bedford. At the second roundabout, take the second exit signposted to Cranfield, Hulcote and Salford. Continue along this road to Salford and turn right at T-junction, signposted Cranfield. Follow this road to the end and go straight across the first roundabout, right at the second, then left at the third. With the petrol station on your left go straight over the mini-roundabout, and the entrance to the University is the first road on your right - signposted 'Main Reception'.

Travelling By Rail

From London St Pancras to Bedford. A bus service is available from Bedford to Cranfield University. Train from London Euston to Milton Keynes Central are also available. A bus service is available from Milton Keynes station to Cranfield University

Taxi Information

There are several taxi companies operating from Milton Keynes, Bedford or locally at Cranfield. The taxi journey from Milton Keynes or Bedford takes about 20 minutes to Cranfield.

Travelling By Air

The nearest public airport is London Luton which is situated just off Junction 10 of the M1. More information on London Luton Airport

From here you can catch a train direct from Luton Airport Parkway station to Bedford. On arriving at Bedford you can take a bus or taxi to the campus.

Alternatively there are bus services to Milton Keynes, where you can change for a bus to Cranfield campus. Alternatively, a quicker option is to take a taxi.
